How are award decisions communicated, and how will awards be paid?
Applications are reviewed by an Awards Panel after which award candidates will receive notification of the decisions by email within approximately three months of the application deadline.
Awards are intended to assist recipients with costs such as tuition, fees, books and supplies, living expenses, travel for confirmed auditions. If appropriate, awards will be paid directly to the post-secondary institution. However, the Fund will pay awards in accordance with what is best suited to each recipient’s situation.
It is the responsibility of the recipient to adhere to all regulations of the accepting post-secondary institution regarding all fee payments and to ensure that registration and/or enrollment status is not jeopardized. Students are responsible for all expenses not covered by the award, in accordance with institution payment deadlines. Studies which have already occurred will not be funded.
The application deadline is March 31 of each year.
Applications and all related material must be submitted by the deadline. If March 31 falls on a weekend, applications will be accepted until 4:30pm on the following business day.
